Fubara’s CoS visits protesters, hails outgone Rivers LGA bosses for standing by law

The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Rivers State, Hon Edison Ehie, has visited the protesters at the Emohua Local Government Area council secretariat of the state.

This was after he had earlier on Tuesday visited other LGAs being currently occupied by Pro-Siminialayi Fubara youths in the state, including the LGA council secretariat of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, Obio/Akpor.

Ehie was received at the Council Secretariat by members of the Simplified Movement led by one of its leaders Chief Hon. Fubara Ohaka.

Addressing the hundreds of leaders of the LGA and youths, Ehie thanked the outgone LGA chairmen for standing by the law and obeying it.

He said: “We thank God and we thank the outgone administration for standing by the law. The former chairman (of Emohua LGA) is a lawyer and I thank him for standing by the provisions of the law.

“Now that the HLGAs have taken over with NULGE, they will now await further directives from the governor. As for today remain peaceful and enjoy your Sallah with our Muslim brothers.”
