FOLLOWING the crisis in the ruling All Progressive Congress APC, Enugu State Chapter, the party Tuesday suspended indefinitely President Mohammed Buhari’s adviser on justice reform, Barr. Juliet Ibekaku, the party’s ex-governorship candidate, Mr. Valentine Nnadozie and eighteen others for violation of Article 21 (a)(v) of the party constitution.
Among those the party suspended in a release titled: ‘notice of indefinite suspension for violation of Article 21 (a)(v) of the party constitution’ signed by the embattled chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye are:
“Deputy Chairman, Adolphus Udeh; Woman Leader, Lolo Queen Ngozi Nwankwo; Youth Leader, Mr. Ikechukwu Oloto; Assistant Secretary, Mr. Louis Okolo; ex-Financial Secretary, Mr. Sydney Eze; ex-Treasurer, Mr. Ebere Okolo; Mrs. Maris Jidefor, Barr. Ejike Ugwu, Rev. Jonas Onuroa, Mr. Elijah Ngene, Barr. Juliet Ibekaku, and Mr. Valentine Nnadozie.”
Others are: Barr. Valentine Ikpa, Mr. Tony Ibekwe, Mr. Amos Chinenye, Mr. Desmond Agu, Mr. Greg Ngwoke, Mr. Obinna Okwo, Mr. Rufus Nwagu and Mr. Godwin Ani.
According to Nwoye, “this is to inform the general public that the under mentioned persons have been suspended indefinitely. APC National Secretariat has been notified of their suspension. The affected individuals have 7 days from the date of this notice to appeal their case.
“The affected persons are barred from attending any function organised or sponsored by All Progressive Congress. Any member of the public dealing with them as members of APC does so at their own risk”.
Recalled that Dr. Nwoye the chairman was last week Monday suspended from the party for alleged financial mismanagement and running the party like personal estate but was disregarded because they did not follow the party’s procedure as it is in the constitution.
